Amidar is a grid capture game released by Konami in their early days. The game was influential for being the first grid capture game to storm onto the industry, spawning numerous clones and games inspired by it afterward. Amidar has players navigating a maze and avoiding enemies (similar to Pac-Man), with the main difference being the goal of visiting each location within the maze. Doing so lights that spot up, and lighting up every location advances you to the next level. The game places its roots in the Japanese lottery game Amidakuji (known internationally as Ghost Leg).
