0 A.D. is a historical real-time strategy game developed by Wildfire Games, a team that kicked off the project by modding Age of Empires II. Developed entirely using free assets and software, 0 A.D. takes you through the various stages of life between the first several centuries of the BCE era. Players can build and grow their own economies and armies, rapidly expanding over time from the meager village stage to the more expansive city stage. The game is still in Alpha, constantly being updated and added upon in the quest towards their second 'CE' phase.
