Adventure Island is a 2D side-scrolling platformer game developed and published by Hudson Soft and released in North America for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). In Adventure Island, you control Master Higgins, a young man who must rescue Princess Tina from the evil witch doctor. Master Higgins starts off without an attack ability but gains weapons as he progresses in the game. These can range from a stone axe to having the ability to shoot magical fireballs.
