Not to be confused with the game Air Raid (which came out the same year), Air Raiders is a first-person shoot-em-up released by Mattel. The gameplay is one of the earlier examples of realistic flight simulation, having players use the button inputs and joystick controls to simulate taking off from a runway to begin the game. The goal is to shoot down enemy fighter pilots while dodging their shots. Equally challenging is managing your position in the sky; navigate too jerky and you'll end up nosediving and crashing your jet.
