Astyanax is a 2D action game originally released for the arcade in 1989 and later released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES). The game differs a bit between the NES and the arcade version, with the arcade version of the game supporting 2-player, while the NES version of the game only has a single-player mode. In the NES version of the game, the player controls Astyanax, a 16-year student from Greenview High School who has been transported into another dimension that he kept seeing in a recurring dream. Astyanax must save Princess Rosebud from the evil wizard Blackhorn who is holding her captive.
