Coffee Crisis is a 2D side-scrolling beat-em-up game that was released for both modern consoles and the Sega Genesis. The developers at Mega Cat Studios wanted to release a truly retro version of Coffee Crisis, creating the game from the ground-up with Sega Genesis in mind. The game can be played both single-player or two-player via local co-op, and two different characters can be chosen from (Streets of Rage style). Your goal is to defeat the evil Smurglien aliens that have invaded Earth in order to steal its metal music, coffee, and wifi. As you beat up enemies, you can collect a variety of powerups and use special moves through combo inputs.
