Get Items Cheaper

Prices scale with game progression, making later towns more expensive. For better value, teleport back to Leaf, the starting town. Here you can rest and buy basic supplies such as herbs and warp boots at a fraction of the cost.

Shop Discounts

A timing-based glitch in shops allows you to purchase expensive items at reduced prices. Highlight a cheap item or blank space next to the item you want, then quickly tap Left and press A in rapid succession. With proper timing, the shop will give you the high-value item while deducting only the lower price tied to the cursor’s original position. This exploit makes it possible to obtain rare or costly items early and occasionally for free.

Area Warp

To warp to different areas of the game, during gameplay, hold down A + B on Controller 1. While holding them, press A on Controller 2 to cycle through the different areas of the game.

Pause Without Status Screen

To pause the game without accessing the status screen, plug in a second controller and press the B button on it.

Repeat Dialogue

During conversations, watch for the arrow at the bottom of the text box; this signals that more dialogue follows in the next text box. When the arrow disappears, it means the conversation has reached its end. At this moment, pressing Select will cause the character to repeat the entire dialogue from the beginning, allowing you to review important information.
