Octopath Traveler is a JRPG game developed by Square Enix. The game harkens back to the classic JRPGs by incorporating 16-bit character sprites for the NPCs, all laid over the backdrop of a 3D world. Octopath has you choose from a set of eight characters in a sprawling overworld. No matter who you pick first, you eventually recruit all eight of them, filling out their individual stories as you go. Each of the characters has their own unique abilities that help you solve puzzles throughout the world, and eventually, you can mix and match their classes to suit your play style. The game comes from the same team who made the Bravely Default series.
