Salt and Sanctuary is an action/RPG game that was heavily influenced and inspired by FromSoftware's Souls series. Because of this, the game features punishing difficulty and an emphasis on stats and different builds. Gameplay is a 2D take on the Souls games, sporting beautiful and gothic hand-drawn visuals. With an extensive skill tree and hundreds of different items to find, the game keeps players busy at every turn. The story unfolds through exploration and discussion with NPCs as you play, and features some inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft horror. Multiplayer is also supported, just like with Souls, allowing players to share messages and tips.
