Super Mario Odyssey is a platforming action/adventure game, and the latest game in the mainline series of Mario games. The game sees Princess Peach kidnapped by the nemesis Bowser once again, who plans on marrying her in a grand ceremony. Mario joins forces with a spirit named Cappy, who gives him the power to possess living beings by throwing his cap at them. Odyssey ditches the more linear nature of past 3D Mario titles like Galaxy in favor of the more open-world design found in 64 and Sunshine. This gives players a variety of wide-open worlds to explore and hundreds of Moons to hunt down and collect.
