The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a 2D action-adventure game developed and published by Nintendo for the Super Nintendo. It is the third game to release in The Legends of Zelda series of games and was later re-released on the Super NES Classic. The story of The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is set before the previous two Zelda games and it introduces the whole new concept of the Master Sword, which plays a big part in the series going forward. The game features a top-down view similar to the original The Legend of Zelda game for the NES. In the game, you take on the role of Link, a young man that goes on an adventure to save Princess Zelda, who is being held captive by Agahnim.
