X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse is a 2D action game developed and published by Capcom for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES). The game is based on the X-Men from the X-Men comic book series. This was the second game Capcom release that is based on X-Men. The player controls one of five characters, including Beast, Cyclops, Gambit, Psylocke, and Wolverine. At first, you must play each character in their own specific level but eventually get to pick any character to complete the levels in the story. As is most things X-Men related, the X-Men must stop Magneto from causing havoc but this time on his Avalon space station.
