Bubble Bobble is a 2D platformer game developed by Taito that was originally released for the arcade in 1986 and later released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in 1988. In Bubble Bobble, the girlfriends of two brothers have been kidnapped by Baron Von Blubba. The brothers must complete 100 levels in the Cave of Monsters in order to rescue their girlfriends, all after being turned into Bubble Dragons. The player must use his Bubble Dragon to shoot a bubbles at an enemy getting them stuck inside, then pop the bubble turning them into a collectible food item. Bubble Bobble can either be played in single-player or multiplayer mode.
