Donkey Kong Country Cheats For SNES

How To Save The Game

In order to save the game, you must make it all the way to Candy's Save Point. These save points exist every few levels.

101% Game Completion

When you've found all the secrets in a level, the level's name will have an exclamation point at the end. If you complete all levels by finding all of the secrets, you will have 101% complete on your save file.

50 Lives

In order to start the game with 50 lives, highlight "Erase Game" on the file selection menu, then press B, A, R, R, A, L, and you should hear a sound if you entered this cheat correctly. You can either start a new game with 50 lives or you can continue an existing file and your lives will be upped to 50. Be careful not to delete an existing file when you are entering this cheat.

Two-Player Competition

With this cheat, you can take control of your partner's character while they are playing. To activate this cheat, highlight "Erase Game" on the file selection menu, then press B, A, Down, Up, Down, Down, Y. If you enter the cheat correctly, you will hear a sound play.

Music Test

With the music test, you will be able to play through music from the game. To activate the music test, highlight "Erase Game" on the file selection menu, then press Down, A, R, B, Y, Down, A, Y. If you enter the cheat correctly, you will hear a sound play. To cycle through the music hit "Select".

Practice Bonus Areas

This cheat allows you to practice the different bonus levels the game has. In order to activate this cheat, during the game intro, press Down, Y, Down, Down, Y. If you entered this cheat correctly, you will hear a sound play. After you complete each one, or the time runs out, it will move to the next bonus area.

Donkey Kong Country Game Genie Codes

The following cheat codes are for Game Genie. These can be used on a Super Nintendo (SNES) with a Game Genie device or you can use these on any emulator that supports Game Genie Codes. If you want a Game Genie Device, you can always Check on Amazon for one.

There are two versions of Donkey Kong Country if the code isn't working for your version, use the other code instead.
