Golden Axe II Cheats For Sega Genesis

Level Select

To enable level select, when the opening cutscene starts playing, hold A + B + C and press Start. Release the B and C while continuing to hold the A button. While holding the A button, move down to options on the main menu and press B + C to enter the options menu. Now make your way to Exit at the bottom of the options menu and press B + C while still holding down the A button. Now go to 1 player or 2 player and press B + C while still holding down A to select the game mode. Now move over to the character you want to pick without letting go of the A button and press Up + B + C to pick your character. If you did this correctly, a menu will pop up with the starting levels listed on it. Use A, B, or C to cycle through the level and Start to select which level or stage you want to start on.

Extra Magic

To get full or extra magic, first, make sure you have "Special Magic" as the selected type for magic in the settings. When you get to the boss at the end of the first level and the music starts to play, press and hold the A button and defeat the boss without letting go of the A button. When you beat the boss and the black screen appears that teleports you to the bonus level, let go of the A button. Make sure not to press any buttons on the bonus level and just let the duration run its course. If you did this correctly, at the beginning of the level your character will cast a magic spell that maxes out your magic to the equivalent of 255 magic potions.

Extra Continues

To start with 8 credits or continues instead of the default of 3, when the opening cutscene starts playing, hold A + B + C and press Start. Now go to Options on the main menu and press Start. Once in the options menu, let go of the A button but continue to hold B + C. Select all of the options you want by using the directions on the D-pad, then go down to exit and press Start to go back to the main menu. While still holding B + C go over to 1 player or 2 player and press start to select it. Now you will notice on the character selection screen that you have 8 credits or continues instead of only 3.

Player Revive

To use a glitch to resurrect or revive a player, cast your magic spell as soon as the other player dies. They will be revived but they won't have any health bars. The other player will be able to keep playing the game like this but can only take 1 hit till they die again.
