Gradius Cheats For NES

Free Power-Ups

You can get the Speed Up, Missile, Option, and Barrier power-ups by pausing the game and pressing Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start. This can only be done once per level.

Warp To Level 3

To warp to level 3, while in level 1, and your score's thousands digit is even, destroy 4 hatches (Dagooms - continuous enemy spawners).

Warp To Level 4

To warp to level 4, in level 2, destroy the Xaerous Core within 2 seconds after it turns blue.

Warp To Level 5

To warp to level 5, in level 3, you must destroy 10 Moai stone heads.

Unlimited Continues

To continue the game after you've been met with a game over screen, while on the game over screen, press Down, Up, B, A, B, A, B, A, B, A. If you entered this cheat code correctly, the game will throw you back into the last level you were on.

Hidden Message Easter Egg

To see the hidden message easter egg, hold B + A while turning on the game or hitting the reset button. You will be met with the words "KONAMI ONE, GRADIUS TEN".

Gradius Game Genie Codes

The following cheat codes are for Game Genie. These can be used on a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) with a Game Genie device or you can use these on any emulator that supports Game Genie Codes. If you want a Game Genie device, you can always check on Amazon for one.
