Stardew Valley is a farming simulation indie game inspired by the Harvest Moon franchise. The game is a great example of a one-man indie powerhouse, being developed and designed entirely by Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone. The game has you create your own player avatar, who goes on to inherit their very own farm from their late grandfather. Stardew Valley progresses on a day-by-day basis, allowing players the freedom to explore, farm, gather materials, and develop relationships with the townsfolk. Eric Barone created the game with the vision of making something similar to Harvest Moon, while at the same time fixing some of HM's flaws.
