The Legend of Zelda Cheats For NES

Secret Save Screen

In order to use this cheat code, you will need two controllers plugged in. Press Start on controller 1 and then press Up + A on controller 2. If you did this correctly, the save menu will appear without you have to die to save the game.

Easy Rubies

To get easy Rubies (or Rupees like they are called every other Zelda game) your best be is heading to the graveyard. Don't kill the ghosts that spawned on their own until you touch all of the graves, which spawn more ghosts that you can't kill. Once you've spawned all of the ghosts from the graves, kill the ghosts that spawned on their own and all of them will die and possibly drop loot.

Fewer Enemies

If you kill all the enemies but one in an area, the next time you pass there, you won't be overrun by enemies. The only enemy you will see is the one you left there.

Level 1 Dungeon Door Glitch

Level 1, also known as "The Eagle", is the first dungeon in The Legend of Zelda. When you first enter the dungeon there will be a locked door in the northern part of the room, if you walk out of the dungeon and right back in, the door will become unlocked. Doing this will save you key and will leave you with an extra key at the end of the dungeon.

Start Game On Second Quest

To start the game on the second question you must beat the game at least one time and when you start a new game, enter ZELDA as your name. This will allow you to skip the first quest and start on the second quest will a good amount of items.

The Legend of Zelda Game Genie Codes

The following cheat codes are for Game Genie. These can be used on a Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) with a Game Genie device or you can use these on any emulator that supports Game Genie Codes. If you want a Game Genie Device, you can always check on Amazon for one.
